HMT Turns Forty

In 2018 HMT celebrates 40 years of operations in the ASIC industry.

HMT was founded by Jack Heuer in 1978 as a spin-off from swiss watch company, Heuer-Leonidas, today Heuer-TAG. The focus was ASIC design.

In 1988 the miniature electronic module & system design activity has been added to complete the high density packaging of ASIC, COB and former high density technologies.

In 1994 the HiDensity Group was founded combining HMT with swiss partners, Hybrid SA, a technology provider and production plant for high density packaging and General Hybrid SA, a technology provider for low cost modules, also providing a sales office for France.
